There are a number of foodbanks across Adur & Worthing which are mostly open access – this means that residents can contact and collect food directly from them. However, Shoreham and Worthing require vouchers to be obtained in advance – once issued these can be exchanged for 3 days worth of emergency food.

Adur Special Needs Project 

Adur Special Needs Project is a charity that runs out of school care respite and play schemes for local children and young people with registered SEND needs.

The project is open to children from 5 to 15 years old with special or additional needs across the West Sussex area. There is no need for referral but it is important to note that members who require medical care or assistance cannot be catered for.

The weekend play scheme costs £30 per day session although some members may be eligible for funding from referring authorities.

Sussex Sailability

Sussex Sailability is one of the largest disabled sailing clubs on the South Coast that provides opportunities for people with physical, sensory and learning disabilities to sail.

Sailing takes place along the Sussex coast and on the River Adur and all those taking part must be over the age of 14.
